Why we need to change

Business-as-usual is a terrible idea
From rising far-right populism to military invasions, environmental collapse to ever-increasing inequalities, the landscape is daunting and often overwhelming. At the heart of this Meta-crisis is our society’s never-ending pursuit for growth. There is “never enough”. Instead of prioritising the health and well-being of our planet and all her inhabitants, our economic and political systems focus on accumulating wealth in the hands of the few.
The pursuit of infinite growth on a finite planet can neither keep us within safe planetary boundaries nor guarantee good lives for all. It is an artificial scarcity, because it is absolutely feasible to achieve good living standards for everyone with a fraction of the current global resource and energy use. But for that, we need to change.
What has this got to do with my organisation’s transformation process?
Talking responsibility starts by recognising that we – as individuals and organisations – are not the passive victims of a complex system far, far away. We are a part of it.
As such, we have a choice: to maintain the status quo, or to contribute to changing it for the better. Whether organisations pro-actively choose to transform, or are forced to change by their context, they are presented with an opportunity to do exactly that. By redefining what success looks like and putting people at the centre.
What does building participative and collaborative cultures have to do with system change?
The current system maintains itself by fostering competition, self-interest, and division, using leadership styles that aim for control, compliance and maximum extraction. Participative decision-making, peaceful dialogue, co-creation and collaboration, belonging and psychological safety: these are not just the characteristics of a dream world to come. They are the tools with which we build her. They are both end and means.
enough.consulting was born out of the conviction that we can, and have a responsibility to, actively shape that future together.
There is no systemic impact without deep intimacy. There is no transformation without relational tenderness.

Let’s Start: daring to change, together

…with three of our favourite things:
Connection, Courage and Creativity!
Business needs a shift. Instead of endlessly counting invested money, financial growth and company size, we should focus on tracking what really matters: the value we create, and the health and resilience of our systems.
Together, we want to ask:
What if our responsibility mattered more than our financial growth?
What if transformation mattered more than optimisation?
What if we built systems that multiply possibility, instead of extracting efficiency?
What if organisations fostered meaningful, creative and joyful ways to participate?
moving from „never enough“ to „enough for all“
At enough.consulting we want to support organisations on that journey, to shape their future with confidence.
It is both about enabling your organisation to be “fit-for” an ever-changing world, and strengthening our collective capacity to create and enable a more promising future.
Will you join us?
I believe the only realistic plan to avoid breakdown and maintain global well-being lies in this mindset shift from „never enough“ to „enough for each“.
